Nature, Computational design and Grasshopper in seven days,
Computational Design | Online Workshop | Farsi | Europe-Mideast-Africa
Description:
Key Words: nature,computational design,structure,space
Required Skills: familiarity with Grasshopper and Rhinoceros
Required Software: rhinoceros, Grasshopper
Required Hardware: PC, Mac
Maximum number of participating students: 10
The world, creatures, existence, and whatever it is can not be outside the framework of the rules governing nature. Architecture also has a strong link as a human phenomenon with the laws of nature. Every fundamental change in science and, in particular, architecture has initially begun by recognizing the laws of nature. In this workshop, we will teach participants how to use the rules of nature to become better designers and to have optimal spaces and structures.
Topics that will be taught in this workshop include loops and recursion, minimal surfaces, specifically Gyroid surface, kinetic structures, fractal forms in nature, mathematical sequences in nature, tensegrity structures, and membrane structures simulation. In this workshop, we will learn how nature can be our teacher. This workshop includes seven sessions of 1.5 hours.

As a designer, I am seeking new ways of solving problems. I am interested in computer science, specifically A.I. and deep learning, architecture philosophy, and digital interactive design. I have some experience in digital fabrication. Also, I have worked on a project to solve some of the problems of deaf people. My first teacher was my elder sister when I was three, who teaches me a second language, mathematics, natural sciences, history, etc. So I love to learn new things since I was a little child. I love to teach other people because I can help them believe in themselves regardless of their background or abilities.
