上海市委、市政府2020年年底公布《关于全面推进上海城市数字化转型的意见》，全文表示要坚持整体性转变，推动“经济、生活、治理”全面数字化转型。这城市数字化对于城市设计者来说，意味着全新的工作方法。在推动城市数字化的过程中，政府会使用行政力量推动信息化和数字化系统，以往无法量化的问题未来会有全新的数据源，这就表示城市设计师们必须掌握量化城市问题的能力。比如预测城市实时人口，量化城市建设对房价和租金的影响，计算空间设施稀缺度以安排城市设施，设计可以标准化和量化的城市运营手段等。在此基础上，设计者们应该提出数字化的解决方案，从而影响城市的规划和设计。
本次训练营，参与者将通过使用脉策科技提供的数据工具Datlas，设计一款辅助城市设计、规划、决策的产品，或主导一项城市数据挖掘研究，来提出自己的城市数字化转型解决方案，从城市应用场景上，制作自己的数据产品。
At the end of 2020, the Shanghai Government announced the "Opinions on Promoting the Digital Transformation of Shanghai City", which states that they will insist on a holistic transformation and promote a comprehensive digital transformation of economy, life and governance. The digitalization of the city means a new way of working for urban designers. In the process of promoting the digitalization of cities, the government will use administrative power to promote information technology and digital systems, and there will be new data sources for problems that could not be quantified in the past, which means that urban designers must acquire the ability to quantify urban problems. For example, predicting real-time urban population, quantifying the impact of urban construction on housing prices and rents, calculating the scarcity of spatial facilities to arrange urban amenities, and designing urban operation tools that can be standardized and quantified. Based on this, designers are expected to come up with digital solutions that can influence the planning and design of cities.
In this workshop, participants will use Datlas, a data tool provided by Metrodata Co.LTD, to design a product that assists in urban design, planning, and decision-making, or lead an urban data mining study to come up with their own urban digital transformation solutions, and produce their own data products from urban application scenarios.
